To survive and keep producing energy, cancer cells must switch over to glycolysis alone as the source of their energy.

At exactly the same time as fermentation starts, the now sickened, dysfunctional cells must also start protecting themselves from the immune system. They do this by producing a protective enzyme called alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase or Nagalase for short.

The Nagalase enzyme has the ability to completely shut down the activity of the localized immune macrophage cell, whose job it is to destroy any cell that has been harmed or is not functioning normally. It effectively “cloaks” the cancer cells from detection by the immune system. This is the reason that someone can have a strong functioning immune system and still be growing a tumor. The Nagalase blood test is a good way to check the progress of treatment.

This Cancer profile test consists of 7 different tests. They are HCG (human chorionic gonadotropin), both serum and urine, PHI (phosphohexose isomerase enzyme), CEA (carcinoembryonic antigen), GGTP (a liver test), TSH (a thyroid test), and DHEA-S (an adrenal hormone).

The uniqueness of the Cancer Profile is that it combines a number of tests which, by themselves, might not be indicative enough, but together provide and impressive level of accuracy and precision.

While numerous studies have confirmed that HCG levels are elevated if there are cancer cells in the body, it may be present in super-low quantities that cannot be detected. Therefore, the Cancer Profile includes other tumor markers as well. In other words, what one test may miss, the others will usually detect.

In one study during its development, the tumor marker CEA proved to be sensitive in cases of metastasized bone cancer, while PHI was elevated in cancers of other organs. However, when CEA and PHI were combined, overall sensitivity was increased considerably.

By combining all these tests, the results provide an impressive level of accuracy and precision. It has been determined to have an overall accuracy of 87-97%!

The other thing that is remarkable about this battery of tests is that it is excellent not only for early detection, but also for laboratory follow-up and monitoring disease reduction or progression during treatment.

All this is done without the use of radiation so monitoring of progress can safely be done far more frequently than during conventional treatment.

The tests can also be important to establish a benchmark prior to surgery. With a retest later, one can determine if the surgery has removed the whole tumor.

For example, a study in the Journal of Tumor Marker Oncology in 1992 reported that men who had had their diseased prostates removed had distinctly lower levels of both PSA and HCG, compared to those patients with tumors remaining. Clearly, lower levels of these markers indicate a procedure’s effectiveness.

The markers may also serve as a warning signal of the prospect for renewed problems.

Alternative to Lupron for Prostate Disease

Most men who are taking the drug Lupron (or one of its close relatives) hate it. The reason is it turns men into women (hormonally). It is used to block the testosterone receptors that promote the growth of prostate cancer cells.

Fortunately there is a supplement (and dietary intake) that can offer an alternative. The cruciferous vegetables, such as cabbage and broccoli are particularly rich sources of compounds such as indole-3-carbinol which have been associated with reduced tumor occurrence in both humans and experimental animals.

This chemical is found in vegetables such as cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli, brussel sprouts, kale, collards, mustard greens, radishes, watercress and turnips.

DIM (Diindolylmethane) is the principal breakdown product of indole-3-carbinol in the body once it is absorbed through the digestive system. It has been shown in scientific studies to reduce the risk of prostate and other hormone-driven cancers by helping the body to make a better balance of the hormones.

According to Michael Zeligs, M.D., author of “All About DIM”, a recent study of Seattle men showed that three or more servings of cruciferous vegetables a week can reduce prostate cancer risk by almost half!

Androgen (testosterone) receptors control growth, proliferation and differentiation in the prostate and are expressed in nearly all human prostate cancers. Studies have shown that DIM represses androgen expression and responsiveness as a part of an anti-growth effect on the cancer cells!

These studies have shown that DIM not only slows the growth of human prostate cancer cells, it directly kills or promotes the death of these cells.

Besides being the active phytonutrient promoting beneficial estrogen metabolism, DIM has recently been shown to actually treat breast cancer in animals!

DIM appears to work in several ways. First it facilitates the conversion of estrogen to a less cancer promoting form. Second, it partially blocks the bad effects of estrogen and testosterone on cells. Third, it directly kills or inhibits cancer cells. And fourth, it reduces levels of free radicals, which can promote cancer by damaging DNA.

All this and no side effects of any sort are seen when pure DIM is used, even in huge doses. Even when a usual dose of 40mg/day is increased to 450mg/day in human subjects!

Albert Szent-Gyorgyi, M.D., PhD asserted that energy (electron) exchange, arguably life’s most important form of cellular communication, can only occur when there is an imbalance of electrons between and among molecules. This imbalance of electrons causes the natural flow of electrons, a biological form of electricity, throughout the healthy body.

Vitamin C, although possessing other important qualities, appears to be a most important stimulus to this flow of electricity. Furthermore, when this electron flow is impaired, there is a need for more vitamin C to help remedy this impairment.

Since poor electron flow throughout the body’s tissues appears to cause or be associated with disease, this also means that there is typically a vitamin C deficiency whenever the body is diseased.

Just as dehydration requires water, poor electron flow (a primary characteristic of the diseased state) requires vitamin C. This will always apply, even if the deficiency was not necessarily involved in the development of a specific diseased state.

The enormous clinical usefulness of vitamin C remains little appreciated. This is partially due to its classification as a vitamin. A strict interpretation of the definition of vitamin C can even support the argument that vitamin C is not a vitamin at all. Ultimately it becomes apparent to the researcher that vitamin C is the single most important nutrient substance for a healthy body.

Even today, conventional medical textbooks state that “no specific treatment is available for polio”. This is incredible because on June 10, 1949, Frederick R. Klenner, M.D. presented a summary of his work on polio to the Annual Session of the American Medical Association. He published a landmark article demonstrating that he cured 60 out of 60 cases of polio in children. These children were proven by lab tests and symptoms to have active polio. One young girl had even already developed paralysis of her legs and she fully recovered after treatment. They were treated with IV “frequent massive doses” of 6,000 to 20,000mg vitamin C in a 24hour period. His report was little heeded and quickly forgotten.

Since then, high dose intravenous vitamin C has shown itself to be effective at treating virtually all viral diseases from hepatitis to shingles and HIV.

The other side of this incredible information is that there has never been a toxic dose of vitamin C discovered. Even the most common misconception about vit C causing kidney stones can be prevented by proper hydration.

In the past century, between 50,000 to 100,000 studies have demonstrated the benefits of vitamin C therapy. Yet, it continues to be virtually ignored by conventional medicine.

It seems that cancer is on the rise despite the years and billions that have been invested in its “cure”. How does Laetrile work as a Cancer Therapy?

Laetrile as a cancer therapy

Amygdalin, or Laetrile, is lethal to cancer cells. This is because cancer cells secrete the enzyme beta-glucosidase which releases the poisonous cyanide otherwise locked in laetrile, into the inside of the cell.

In the absence of cancer cells the toxic cyanide is not released.

Normal cells have an enzyme called rhodanase which effectively renders the cyanide molecule inactive.
