Sugar Speeds Tumor Growth

We’ve known about it for almost 100 years but the official word is now in from a 9 year study in Belgium…sugar feeds and speeds up cancer growth!  Otto Warburg got a Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1931 for proving that cancer cells require 18 times more sugar than normal cells.  They are still working out the precise mechanism of why this is so but cancer patients do not have to know those details to benefit from the knowledge.
The two big ways that cancer patients can benefit from this info is to understand the benefits of the Ketogenic diet and the treatment called IPT (Insulin Potentiated Therapy).

DCA-Dichloroacetate to fight cancer

Mitochondria on a blue background

All cells need energy to grow and function, including cancer cells.  The place in our normal cells where sugar is burned using oxygen to produce this energy is in a structure in the cells called mitochondria.

Besides generating energy for the cells, the mitochondria can also trigger the cell to die if it becomes faulty.  This process is called “apoptosis”.

When a cell becomes cancerous it turns off the mitochondria.  This is one way by which cancer cells are able to evade death and remain immortal and continue to grow.

In 2007 researchers at the University of Alberta found that adding DCA to cancer cells restarts the mitochondria turning apoptosis back on again.  This caused the cancer cells to stop multiplying and die.  It also did not affect healthy cells because their mitochondria were functioning normally.

Further studies in humans at the University of Alberta have shown DCA to be safe and very promising as a new tool in the fight against cancer.

At Reno Integrative Medical Center, DCA, oral or IV, is part of our protocol to treat cancer.

Oxidative cancer therapy

Oxidative cancer therapy

The idea of Oxidative therapy is to create a “Free Radical Storm” in the body.

Q: What is a free radical?

A: Simply put, it is a free oxygen molecule wanting to react with tissue.

Q: Why is this so harmful?

A: Because it damages tissue when it reacts with it.

A: A free radical storm is induced through clinical proprietary methods to put fatal stress          on cancer cells.

Q: What are some therapies that create a “Free Radical Storm”?

A: IPT,  UVBI,  High Dose Vitamin C

Luckily, normal cells have the ability to combat or reduce the damage of high free radical presence by activating an anti-oxidant pathway within the cell. Timely supplementation is also key.

Cancer cells cannot endure an onslaught of high oxidation because they create energy on a totally different pathway referred to as anaerobic metabolism.  They have no mechanism in place to deal with free radicals.

IPT; An excellent alternative to full-dose chemotherapy

IPT targets cancer cells

Targeting cancer cells with IPT therapy

For too long there have been limited choices when it came to the use of chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer.  At Reno Integrative Medical Center, we encourage cancer patients to consider a treatment called Insulin Potentiated Therapy or IPT as a viable, less toxic option to full dose chemotherapy. IPT targets the cancer cells rather than affecting the entire body. This is huge when one considers efficiency and recovery rate.

This therapy is not available in most states due to laws prohibiting it. We offer IPT  at Reno Integrative Medical Center in Reno, Nevada,  along with several other viable alternative treatments to treat cancer.

Cancer treatment options

Cancer treatment options at Reno Integrative Medical Center

When faced with a diagnosis of cancer, most patients and their family are suddenly forced to address the real life dilemma of treatment options. Most encounter the conventional dictate given by their doctor that spells out a series of choices such as: surgery, full-dose chemotherapy and/or radiation. That’s it, over and out. Those are the ONLY treatments available that are condoned by conventional medicine and insurance companies alike.

At Reno Integrative Medical Center we exist solely to provide patients with medical treatment options to address their cancer.  There is a misunderstanding amongst many that they must leave the country to procure alternative, holistic, non-conventional, integrative cancer treatments. That is not so. Our patients often say, ” Why don’t I hear about these therapies on TV, or from my doctor?”  “Good question, we say. Why don’t you ask them?”

Luckily, we are allowed, in the state of Nevada, to legally offer therapy options. Our goal is to provide information so that people can better educate themselves on the subject of cancer itself and what choices are available to best address their healing. So many new therapies are available now. You don’t have to stay in the dark ages.

We invite you to visit our website to not only inform yourself but relieve the stress of thinking there are few options available.

GcMaf used in cancer treatment

GcMaf as a cancer treatment

GcMaf is becoming more widely known as a cutting edge new treatment for cancer. Normally found in the body, its production is reduced by the Nagalase enzyme which is manufactured by cancer cells. Why is this a problem? Simply put, GcMaf is required by the body to enable the immune system’s ability to hunt down and kill cancer cells.

At Reno Integrative Medical Center, GcMaf is used in conjunction with a host of other powerful therapies to synergistically produce an optimal outcome. We invite you to visit our website to better understand the details of this and other therapies used in a more integrative approach to 21st century cancer treatment.

Chemotherapy at a 10th the normal dose

If you or someone you know, has been told they need to do full dose chemotherapy, you might want to learn more about IPT therapy.  It targets the cancer while using a 10th of the dose.  This therapy is far less toxic and far more efficient.

Reno Integrative Medical Center is one of few clinics in the United States that offers this therapy.

Chelation health maintenance

Chelation Therapy

Chelation Therapy for health maintenance

Chelation therapy is a treatment used for the removal of heavy metals from the body thereby improving metabolic function and blood flow through blocked arteries in the body.

Recently the NIH (National Institute of Health) approved a 37 million dollar study that could revolutionize the care of people with heart disease.

A previous study showed extremely promising results that led to this highly financed new study.

Reno Integrative Medical Center has been doing this therapy to improve the outcome of cancer treatment. It has been shown that toxic heavy metals, found in most people,   interfere with the functioning of the immune system.

Interestingly, the AMA has recommended chelation therapy for removal of toxic heavy metals from the body since the 1920’s. The importance of this has been recognized by many alternative doctors, however, many of them have encountered trouble with medical boards in recent times.

Exposing Cancer with a Nagalase blood test

A Nagalase blood test can be very helpful in early detection and prolonged monitoring of cancer treatment progress.

Detect cancer with Nagalase blood test

To survive and keep producing energy, cancer cells must switch over to glycolysis alone as the source of their energy.

At exactly the same time as fermentation starts, the now sickened, dysfunctional cells must also start protecting themselves from the immune system.  They do this by producing a protective enzyme called alpha-N-acetylgalactosaminidase or Nagalase for short.

The Nagalase enzyme has the ability to completely shut down the activity of the localized immune macrophage cell, whose job it is to destroy any cell that has been harmed or is not functioning normally.  It effectively “cloaks” the cancer cells from detection by the immune system.  This is the reason that someone can have a strong functioning immune system and still be growing a tumor.  The Nagalase blood test is a good way to check the progress of treatment.
